Since the early 1960s, Douglas Kritz has been known throughout the Chicago area as one of the top brick and mortar retailers of appliances, household goods, air purifiers, and vacuum cleaners. Douglas strongly believes in the quality of his products, going above and beyond to meet the needs of his customers.

With a loyal customer base and great reputation that he acquired the old fashioned way, Douglas is proud of his company’s success and refuses to carry any products that do not meet his high standards for quality and performance. In fact, he personally unpacks and tests every item he sells before his customers even have a chance of seeing it in order to ensure the continued high quality and excellent reputation that his store enjoys.

In the past, Douglas has decided against taking his business online in fear of losing the personal relationships he maintains with his clientele. After all, Douglas’ satisfaction comes from the satisfaction of his customers; accordingly, if his business were to move to the web, how would he know if his customers were happy with their purchases, and how would he keep up with the same high level of customer service that his store is known for?

Eventually, due to the influence of his family and friends, Douglas agreed to develop a website, but insisted on maintaining his old fashioned way of doing business, complete with extensive product testing and personalized customer service. Therefore Douglas offers customers two delivery options: option one is that when an order is received, Douglas ships the purchase immediately and is received within 3-4 business days. On the other hand, the second option entails unpacking the unit from the factory, completing the assembly, and performing a considerable amount of testing before shipping the product to the customer (clearly, this is Douglas’s preferred option). Of course, it may take 5-7 business days for the customer to receive the product – but it will be in optimal condition and prepared for peak performance.
